TAURANGA BASED
Nicola studied at the University of Canterbury, completing a Bachelor of Arts [Hons] in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Health Sciences. While in Christchurch, Nicola trained as a Youthline Counsellor, providing over the phone support to youth. After University, Nicola gained her Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and became certified as a specialised Social and Emotional Intelligence Coach with the Institute of Social and Emotional Intelligence.

Nicola has recently returned home to Tauranga, New Zealand after 11 years building her career in Australia. She worked for Education Queensland and large not-for profits as an advisor, behaviour specialist, parent coach and regional manager. In 2018, Nicola set up her own coaching and training business, EQuipped Leadership, providing 1:1 and group coaching to managers and their teams.

Nicola is connected to a large network, both in New Zealand and Australia, and has experience in coaching in the business world. She uses this experience to support and coach students through their life and career choices. She can support your student to develop the competencies of social and emotional intelligence – setting them up with the skills to confidently navigate their next steps.
Nicola was a guest speaker, presenting within a degree qualification, covering aspects of values and leadership. This was linked to self-awareness in regards to success within professional practice. Nicola delivered her presentation in a clear and engaging manner, with activities which supported reflection and personal awareness. Nicola adapted and connected with the students throughout her presentation, and was purposeful with her key messages. I highly recommend Nicola due to her remarkable knowledge, her ability to connect with others, and her presence in delivery of this.
