Charlotte loves working with young people, helping them to make study, career and life decisions that
are meaningful, fulfilling and apt. She began her tertiary study at a liberal arts college in the USA, before transferring back to Auckland in her final year. Whilst living and studying in the USA, she worked as a freshman resident assistant and a summer camp counsellor. These experiences cemented her desire to focus her career on working alongside young people.
Charlotte has worked in the education sector in a variety of roles over the past twenty years - in secondary schools as a classroom teacher and leader, in a consulting practice as an education consultant and professional learning facilitator and now as a careers consultant at a large university.
Coaching and mentoring has long been a core part of her practice and coaching formed part of her recent career
development qualification. Charlotte has a passion for education and development.
Charlotte worked in the gifted education space for twelve years and has published articles and spoken at conferences about gifted adolescent girls’ talent development needs. Girls’ talent development was also the topic of her master’s thesis, for which she received a high distinction.
Charlotte cares deeply about helping students develop greater self-awareness to enable them to make study, career and life decisions that take into account their interests, skills, values and motivators. Charlotte’s ability to quickly build rapport means coachees leave their sessions feeling understood and
with a plan to move forward. She is skilled in helping people gain greater clarity, perspective and confidence with their decision making. This is supported by her deep knowledge of tertiary options, career pathways and industry information, both in New Zealand and overseas.
Charlotte is available for in-person coaching in Auckland and via zoom for the rest of the country.
